The Mariza Alemao Foundation is a U.S.-based, community-driven nonprofit that channels resources from the United States to underserved populations in Rio Vermelho, Minas Gerais, Brazil, and beyond. Founded by Mariza Alemao in 2005 and officially registered as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization in Maryland in 2018, our mission is to create lasting, compassionate impact by supporting vulnerable individuals—especially the elderly, children with special needs, and families facing extreme hardship.

Through partnerships with local organizations and generous individual donors, we maximize the strength of the U.S. dollar and favorable exchange rates to improve lives across our hometown and neighboring communities.
